WALK FOR LIFE CAMINATA POR LA VIDA
WALK FOR LIFE
Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. is hosting a Walk for Life to call for the end to the violence in local communities this Thurs., Jun. 11th.
Starting at 2 p.m., the walk will commence at West 128th Street between St. Nicholas Avenue and Fredrick Douglass Blvd. and continue to Rucker Park at West 155th Street and Frederick Douglass Blvd. in Harlem.
Board members, staff and families served by Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. will be in attendance along with Harlem elected officials and community leaders.
All concerned New Yorkers are invited to join the walk.
Everyone is asked to walk in solidarity through the neighborhood to peacefully enforce the message that the killings in the community need to stop and that responsibility must be taken as a community block by block.
The Mission of Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. is to prolong life among New York City’s youth by preventing gun violence and its social causes and costs. This single issue not-for-profit organization divides its efforts into three areas: Activism, Education and Victim Services.

CAMINATA POR LA VIDA
Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. está organizando una Caminata por la Vida, pidiendo el fin de la violencia en las comunidades locales este jueves 11 de junio.
Comenzando a las 2 pm, la caminata se iniciará en la calle 128 oeste, entre la avenida St. Nicholas y el bulevar Fredrick Douglass, y continuará hasta Rucker Park, en la calle 155 oeste y el bulevar Frederick Douglass en Harlem.
Miembros de la Junta, personal y familias atendidas por Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. estarán presentes junto con funcionarios electos de Harlem y líderes comunitarios.
Todos los neoyorquinos preocupados están invitados a unirse a la caminata.
Se pide a todos caminar en solidaridad a través del barrio para hacer cumplir pacíficamente el mensaje de que los asesinatos en la comunidad tienen que parar y que la responsabilidad debe ser tomada como comunidad cuadra por cuadra.
La misión de Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. es prolongar la vida de los jóvenes de la ciudad de Nueva York, previniendo la violencia armada y sus causas y costos sociales. Este único tema divide los esfuerzos de la organización sin fines de lucro en tres áreas: activismo, educación y atención para las víctimas.
