The 15th anniversary of CityTrack was celebrated at the Armory this past Wed., May 27th.
More than 135 young runners from the local community schools and clubs participated in the day’s relays, and received medals, certificates, book bags from New Balance and, naturally, cupcakes.
Founded in 1999 by Susan Waterfall, CityTrack offers a high-quality track and field program to students from Harlem and Washington Heights.
It was the latest momentous occasion in CityTrack’s latest season, one in which the number of participants almost doubled.

El decimoquinto aniversario de CityTrack se celebró en la Armería el pasado miércoles, 27 de mayo.
Más de 135 jóvenes corredores de escuelas y clubes locales de la comunidad participaron en las carreras del día, y recibieron medallas, certificados, bolsas de libros de New Balance y, naturalmente, magdalenas.
Fundada en 1999 por Susan Cascada, CityTrack ofrece un programa de atletismo de alta calidad a estudiantes de Harlem y Washington Heights.
Fue la última ocasión trascendental de esta última temporada de CityTrack, en la que el número de participantes casi se duplicó.
