CUTLINE: The Columbia University Campbell Sports Center project is seeking workers.

The Columbia University Campbell Sports Center project is hosting an employment event for minority, women and local union workers this Tues., May 8th.

Prospective workers will meet with contractors for current opportunities in the following fields: Electrical; Painting ; HVAC; Misc. Iron; Carpentry; Metal; Millwork; Sprinkler; Drywall; Flooring; Stone/Tile; Concrete and Masonry; Plumbing; Glass and Glazing; Landscaping; and Roofing.

To be hired on the spot, attendees must have valid union membership card, photo identification, and a list of last three projects worked on.

Local is defined as following zip codes: 10025, 10026, 10027, 10029, 10030, 10031, 10032, 10033, 10034, 10035, 10037, 10039, 10040, 10451, 10454, 10455, 10474

The session will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m. at the Chrystie Field House’s MediaRoom on the 2nd Floor. The Field House is located at 510 West 218th Street, New York, NY 10034.

NYPD seeks the community’s assistance in helping find Isabel Pasqual, 86.

 

The NYPD has issued a Silver Alert for Isabel Pasqual, 86.

Pasqual was last seen at 69 Pinehurst Avenue in Manhattan on Sat., Apr. 28th at 10:30 a.m. She is a Hispanic woman, with dark skin, auburn hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a green head scarf, and utilizing a cane.

Pasqual suffers from Alzheimer’s.

United Palace Cathedral hosts a Women’s Day Celebration

Monique Hedmann, MPH, Program Director, Hip Hop Public Health, Columbia University Medical Center, will serve as guest speaker at UPC’s Women’s Day Celebration.

United Palace Cathedral will present a Women’s Day Celebration on Sun., May 13th at 3 p.m. The theme of the celebration is “Living with The Authority of His Word.”

The Rev. Lilly Braxton of UPC urges all community residents, “Come join, as our guest speaker, Ms. Hedmann, teaches about the power and the authority of the Word of God, the Word of Good.  By living the truth of this message, women will become more conscious, and be able to live their lives with power and authority.”

Esta semana, la Universidad de Columbia auspicia el evento de empleos para trabajadores locales de uniones.

Este martes 8, el proyecto Columbia University Sports Center esta auspiciando un evento de empleos para minorías, mujeres y trabajadores de uniones locales.

Posibles empleados se reunirán con contratistas para oportunidades en las siguientes áreas: Eléctrica; Pintura; HVAC; Hierro misceláneo; Carpintería; Metal; Trabajo de Molino; Válvula; Placa de Yeso; Pisos; Piedra/azulejo; Concreto y Albañilería; Plomería;  Vidrio y Acristalación; Paisajismo y techo.

Para ser contratado en el acto, los asistentes deberán poseer una tarjeta de membresía válida de la unión, identificación con foto, y una lista de los últimos tres proyectos en los cuales ha trabajado.

Local se define en los siguientes códigos postales: 10025, 10026, 10027, 10029, 10030, 10032, 10033, 10034, 10035, 10037, 10038, 10040, 10451, 10454, 10455 y el 10474.

La policia procura asistencia para localizar a una persona de 86 años extraviada

NYPD seeks the community’s assistance in helping find Isabel Pasqual, 86.
La policía de Nueva York busca a la extraviada Isabel Pasqual, quien sufre de Alzheimer.

La policía de Nueva York ha emitido una Alerta Plateada para Isabel Pasqual de 86 años.

La Sra. Pasqual fue vista por última vez el 28 de abril en el 69 de Pinehurst Avenue en Manhattan, a las 10:30 a.m.

Isabel es una mujer hispana, con piel oscura, pelo castaño, ojos marrones, y fue vista la última vez con una bufanda verde en el pelo, y utilizando un bastón.

Isabel sufre de Alzheimer.
