National Voter Registration Day
National Voter Registration Day, a massive 50-state effort to register voters before Election Day 2014, will be celebrated on Tues., Sept. 23rd.
Hosted by several organizations, including the League of Women Voters (LWV), the City University of New York (CUNY), the NYC Board of Elections, and Voto Latino, the major voter registration event in City Hall Park will take place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The event will provide participants with a chance to experience voting within a mock NYC Board of Elections poll site will include a real scanner, privacy booth, and ballot marking device.
Participants can register for the first time or update voter registration information as needed.
The program includes live vote-themed art by Lady Pink, real-life suffrage rabble rousers, music by radio station Hot97, recitation by the winner of the 2013 youth poet laureate program, and more.

El día nacional de registro de votantes, un esfuerzo masivo en 50 estados para registrar a los votantes antes de las elecciones de 2014, se celebrará el martes 23 de septiembre.
