The Dominican Film Festival celebrates the best in Dominican cinema and seeks to enrich the artistic experience of New York’s diverse cultural audience. The festival aims to promote the new and established Dominican filmmakers around the world; the country’s film industry; and also to strengthen the vital and expanding economic and cultural relationship with the United States.

Rules and Terms
- The Dominican Film Festival in New York (DFFNY) is organized by Cine Art Entertainment Productions Inc. and is responsible for the management and organization of the festival.
- The Fifth Annual DFFNY will take place in June 2016 at the Alumni Auditorium at Columbia University Medical Center in Washington Heights.
- The festival’s program will include (program subject to change):
- Main Showcase of Dominican Film
- Dominican Films from the Diaspora
- Special Presentations
- Big Stories / Short Films
- Panels
- Master Class
- Completed entries must be submitted no later than Thursday, March 31, 2016 11:59pm (EST).
- The entry must be accompanied by a DVD screener, print-quality movie stills, high resolution production photos, film poster, and a complete Press Kit including synopsis, director’s photograph and biography. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- The films for the program are selected by the festival’s committee. If selected, the film producer or director must provide a movie trailer. The festival organizer reserves the right to select the films. Submitted films shall remain with festival organization until the festival concludes.
- Sender of the film accepts to pay the cost of delivery to our office. Costs for returning the films to the entrant will be covered by the Festival. Entries will be returned to the address indicated by the entrant no later than two weeks once the festival is over.
- The following media format will be accepted for selected festival films: (2) Blu-ray DVDs with English/Spanish subtitles and a Digital File copy, ProRes format preferred, with English/Spanish subtitles.
- All films must be accompanied by a completed entry form and all promotional materials necessary in order to be accepted into the festival.
- By submitting, all participants accept these rules and regulations and afford the right to festival organizers to use the images and sound/ music of selected films for marketing purposes.
- The Dominican Film Festival in New York is a project of Cine Art Entertainment Productions and is legally protected by New York City law.

El Festival de Cine Dominicano celebra lo mejor del cine dominicano y busca enriquecer la experiencia artística de la diversa audiencia cultural de Nueva York. El festival tiene como objetivo promover a los cineastas dominicanos, nuevos y establecidos, de todo el mundo; a la industria cinematográfica del país y fortalecer y expandir la vital relación económica y cultural con los Estados Unidos.

Reglas y Condiciones
- El Festival de Cine Dominicano en Nueva York (DFFNY por sus siglas en inglés) es organizado por Cine Art Entertainment Productions Inc. y es responsable del manejo y organización del festival.
- El quinto DFFNY anual tendrá lugar en junio de 2016 en el Auditorio Alumni en el Centro Médico de la Universidad Columbia en Washington Heights.
- El programa del festival incluirá (sujeto a cambios):
- Exhibición principal de cine dominicano
- Películas dominicanas de la diáspora
- Presentaciones Especiales
- Grandes Historias/Cortometrajes
- Mesas redondas
- Clase magistral
- Las inscripciones completadas deberán presentarse a más tardar el jueves 31 de marzo de 2016 a las 11:59 pm (EST).
- La inscripción debe ir acompañada por un DVD para proyección, fotogramas de calidad de impresión, fotos de producción de alta resolución, cartel de la película y un kit de prensa completo que incluya sinopsis y fotografía y biografía del director. LAS SOLICITUDES INCOMPLETAS NO SERÁN ACEPTADAS.
- Las películas para el programa son seleccionadas por el comité del festival. De ser seleccionada, el productor o el director de la película deberán proporcionar un tráiler de la misma. El organizador del festival se reserva el derecho de seleccionar las películas. Las películas inscritas permanecerán con la organización del festival hasta su conclusión.
- El remitente de la película acepta pagar el costo de la entrega a nuestra oficina. Los costos del retorno de las películas al participante serán cubiertos por el Festival. Las inscripciones serán devueltas a la dirección indicada por el participante a más tardar dos semanas una vez que el festival haya terminado.
- El siguiente formato multimedia será aceptado para las películas seleccionadas del festival: (2) DVD Blu-ray con subtítulos en inglés/español y una copia de archivo digital, formato ProRes preferido, con subtítulos en inglés/español.
- Todas las películas deben estar acompañadas por un formulario de inscripción completado y todos los materiales de promoción necesarios para ser aceptadas en el festival.
- Al enviar sus materiales, todos los participantes aceptan estas reglas y regulaciones y brindan el derecho a los organizadores del festival a usar las imágenes y el sonido/música de las películas seleccionadas para fines de mercadeo.
- El Festival de Cine Dominicano en Nueva York es un proyecto de Cine Art Entertainment Productions y está legalmente protegido por la ley de la ciudad de Nueva York.
