It’s been said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and while that may or may not not be literally true, seeing Ella Fitzgerald in swinging action is always a a joy to behold. Please join us for an evening of rare film clips tracing her entire career, alongside Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and others.

Pianist and band leader Jonathan Batiste continues his successful Jazz Is: Now! series in which he and an ensemble explore jazz today, never forgetting the past but always swinging into the future. This month Batiste, now a Program Advisor of the National Jazz Museum in Harlem along with Christian McBride and Artistic Director Loren Schoenberg, focuses on having fun with jazz.
