No matter how fickle the weather outside, spring was most certainly in bloom – and safely indoors – this past Sat., Apr. 21st with local star students of the CUNY in the Heights’ “Planners in Bloom” program.
The event was a culmination of many weeks of focused instruction in event planning, from adding color and whimsy on a budget for ambience to choosing the perfect array of hors d’oeuvres.
This past Saturday was a celebration, and a showcase.
And as class professor Randahl Hoey noted, no detail was overlooked.
“We created a garden arbor in the hallway,” he explained. “And it led into a fully realized garden complete with gazebo, hanging lanterns and tons of fresh and potted flowers and greens. The hors d’oeuvres and beverages were inhaled.”
