Princesses, knights and all sorts of mythical creatures roamed the paths of Fort Tryon Park this past Sun., Sep. 29th, for the 29th Annual Fort Tryon Medieval Festival.
The event, which is sponsored by the Washington Heights – Inwood Development Corporation (WHIDC) and the New York City Parks and Recreation, hosted singers, damsels and knights, who put on memorable performances in the Royal Joust. Sword smiths, craftsmen, and face painters were also on hand to bring medieval times to life for the tens of thousands in attendance.
The majestic Cloisters, the northernmost post of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, added a unique backdrop to the swordfights, mutton roasts and puppet shows.
