NYP nails Number 1

According to the U.S. News and World Report annual survey of “Best Hospitals,” published this past Tues., Jul. 15th, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (NYP) was ranked No. 1 in New York and No. 6 in the United States.
It is the hospital’s 14th consecutive year on the publication’s “Honor Roll,” which, according to the magazine, “recognizes hospitals for their rare breadth and depth of excellence.”
Moreover, NYP ranked second in the United States for neurology/neurosurgery and psychiatry, and also ranked in the top five in four other specialties: cardiology and heart surgery (No. 3), nephrology (No. 3), rheumatology, a collaborative program with the Hospital for Special Surgery (No. 3), and urology (No. 5).
In four additional specialties, NYP ranks in the top 10: diabetes and endocrinology (No. 6), geriatrics (No. 6), gastroenterology and GI surgery (No. 8), and pulmonology (No. 8).

De regreso a la cima.
De acuerdo con la encuesta anual U.S. News and World Report de “los mejores hospitales”, publicada el pasado martes 15 de julio, el hospital NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) ocupó el puesto Nº 1 en Nueva York, y Nº 6 en los Estados Unidos.
Es el decimocuarto año consecutivo del hospital en la “lista de honor” de la publicación que, según la revista, “reconoce a los hospitales por su rara amplitud y profundidad en la excelencia”.
Por otra parte, NYP ocupó el segundo lugar en los Estados Unidos en las especialidades de neurología/neurocirugía y psiquiatría, y también se clasificó entre los cinco primeros en otras cuatro: cardiología y cirugía del corazón (Nº 3), Nefrología (Nº 3), reumatología, un programa de colaboración con el Hospital for Special Surgery (Nº 3), y urología (Nº 5).
En cuatro especialidades adicionales, NYP se ubica entre los 10 primeros: diabetes y endocrinología (Nº 6), geriatría (Nº 6), gastroenterología y cirugía gastrointestinal (Nº 8) y neumología (Nº 8).
