UC Recap – March 2nd – March 7th

March 2 – March 7

It’s starting to feel a whole lot like Spring. With that said, make sure you check out the fully renovated Jacob Javits Playground on Fort Washington Avenue and 190th Street. After a multi-million dollar makeover, the park is better than ever with a little something for everybody. The redesign expands the recreational amenities for young children, youth and adults including more play equipment, more swings, more workout equipment, more seating, picnic tables, more plantings, more ADA features, and a nature exploration area, while keeping its beautiful, historic and landmarked features. Check it out ASAP.

A few weeks ago I put you on to the economical and awesome power lunches at Inwood Bar and Grill (4892 Broadway) but they also have outstanding deals on weekday evenings. Check them out ASAP.

I’m going to keep it real eco-friendly today and reveal one of my power spots in Inwood Hill Park. For the last 20 years, I have been coming to this serene place that I call The Rock, to reflect, refuel and recharge. The tranquility and peace of mind that can be obtained here is priceless. The vista is equally incredible with the Palisades, in all their rugged beauty, seeming to stand guard on the other side of the Hudson River. To the south you can see the GWB in all its majesty and to the north Riverdale. While there are countless ways to reach the rock, hit up our site for what I feel is the easiest. This trek is not for the faint of heart but is definitely worth the exertion. Good luck!

Don’t forget you have until March 15 to partake in Harlem Restaurant Week 2020. Don’t sleep and buy local.
