Taxi Drivers’ Health Fair
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital will host its 8th Annual Taxi Drivers’ Health Fair this Sat., Sept. 28th. The fair will offer a host of free health screenings specifically for taxi drivers, whose schedules can often prevent them from seeking preventative care and who are seated for hours at a time. Drivers are encouraged to attend to receive health screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, glaucoma, glucose, HIV, and prostate cancer. While walk-ins are welcome, appointments are encouraged. Please call 646.317.6504 to confirm participation. Health insurance representatives will be available, and there will be Yankees tickets, raffles, and giveaways. The fair will be held at 166 West Audubon Avenue from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Parking will be made available at the corner of West 167th Street and Audubon Avenue.
Feria de Salud de Conductores y Taxistas
El Hospital NewYork-Presbyterian celebrará su octava Feria Anual de la Salud este sábado 28 de septiembre. La feria ofrecerá una serie de exámenes de salud gratuitos específicamente para los conductores de taxis, cuyos horarios muchas veces no les permite solicitar atención médica y están sentados durante horas a la vez. Todo conductor esta invitado a asistir para exámenes de salud de la presión arterial, el colesterol, glaucoma, glucosa, VIH y cáncer de próstata. Todos son bienvenidos, pero se les pide hacer cita antes de venir. Por favor llame 646.317.6504 para confirmar su participación. Representantes de seguros de salud estarán disponibles, y habrá entradas a los Yankees, rifas y sorteos. La feria se llevará a cabo en el 166 Oeste de la Avenida Audubon de 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
