Join up for a training session to lead a Hike the Heights event.

Hike Training Session

Want to lead a hike for the 9th annual Hike the Heights event taking place on June 1st? All community residents are invited to attend a Hike Leader training session on Sun., May 19th at10:00 a.m. Those interested in helping lead a Hike event should gather then at the meeting point located at 110th Street and Central Park West. From there, hikers will take on the South route and hike towards Highbridge Park.

Town Hall Meeting

A town hall meeting hosted by State Senator Adriano Espaillat, State Assemblymember Gabriela Rosa and Councilmember Ydanis Rodriguez will be held on Thurs., May 23rd from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Fort George Enrichment Center, located at 1525 St. Nicholas Avenue (btwn. 186th and 187th Streets).

Take a Bow

Broadway Performing Arts Center, the early dance experience for children in Washington Heights and Inwood, will host two upcoming performances to be held on Sat., May 18th at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at The Mother Cabrini High School Auditorium, located at 701 Fort Washington Avenue in the Hudson Heights section of Washington Heights (entrance on Cabrini Blvd.). Over 150 local children will perform.

Women and Stop and Frisk

The group LGBT Faith Leaders of African Descent will present a community forum titled “Women: Stop and Frisk.” The forum is being held in conjunction with Lechtim Nurse Consultants, LLC and Taina’s Touch Arts Enterprize, Inc. The forum will take place on Sat., Jun. 1st from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Adam Clayton Powell State Office Building, located at 163 West 135 Street, in Rooms 8B and 8C.
