Pastor Jack Bomar and the United Palace Cathedral will present a community celebration for UPC’s 45th anniversary.
A community celebration is planned to mark the 45th anniversary of United Palace Cathedral throughout the month of October, beginning Sat., Oct. 6th at the Palace, located at 4140 Broadway at 175th Street.
The theme for this year's celebration is "Bridging the G.A.P. (generations as partners)” and will honor the legacy of the Cathedral’s Founder and founding members as well as speak to the various cultures and generations represented in the Cathedral’s spiritual global community.
Confirmed guest speakers and honorees include Rev. Dr. James A. Forbes, Union Theological Seminary; Dr. Rafael Lantigua, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital; Mr. Ebenezer Smith, District Manager, Comm Bd. 12, Manhattan; Mr. Humberto de Leon, CEO, Bravo Supermarkets, Washington Heights; Bishop E. Bernard Jordan, Zoe Ministries; Rev. Dr. James Forbes, Union Theological Seminar; Dr. Que English, Senior Pastor, Bronx Christian Fellowship and Rev. Derrick Wells, Christ Universal Temple, Chicago, IL.
All are welcome and invited to join UPC at the anniversary community celebration, which will include a series of events that include concerts, expos and a “Black and White Ball.”
