With its modish interior and hip staff the atmosphere of
Plum Pomidor can resemble London in the swinging sixties.
The menu is Mediterranean, and, when possible, features
locally-grown produce, including some herbs from co-owner
Jelena Musabegovic’s own garden.
The food is thoughtfully paired and presented, from a salad of
baby greens, candied walnuts and gorgonzola dressing ($8) to
the more extravagant lobster parfait with sliced avocado, lime
crema, cocktail sauce festooned with fresh cilantro ($14). Entrees
offer panoply of fresh pastas and other seasonally inspired
dishes such as the grilled Atlantic salmon served with an orange
beet salad and grilled string beans ($18). It would be a mistake
to leave without trying the desserts. Try the crepe with caramelized
apples in a calvados reduction served with ice cream ($6).
Jelena’s husband, Edin books top-notch musicians, DJs and visual
artists making Plum a destination for nightlife. Weekend
Champagne brunch rounds out the Plum Pomidor experience.
