Why do people eat at sleekly designed Fibe Bistro? In a
word, the atmosphere. Some regulars call it their second
home. The “Cheers” climate is a testament to how much coowners
Katie Philippe and Omara Reyes care about creating a
welcoming environment for their customers. It’s a great place
to hang out after work; it’s also a place to grab a terrific meal.
The owners decided that the area needed another restaurant
that could provide comfort food besides Coogan’s so Philippe
developed dishes that she loves but were hard to find in the
neighborhood. The menu is crowded with juicy burgers and a
T-bone steak next to Spanish tapas and excellent guacamole.
Here’s something you won’t find anywhere else in the Heights,
a raw bar stocked daily with fresh oysters and clams. Fibe is
also a great place to catch live music. Fridays the famous Celeste
plays piano and sings Broadway show tunes. “It gives me
goose bumps,” Philippe said.
