Walking in the door it’s a modern, cool space. There’s free WiFi,
a small library and chalk boards with catchy sales pitches.
It’s a small space, but it’s inviting. It’s not a diner,
or a restaurant. It’s not a deli, and it’s more than a café.
One thing that does define them is the quality of their food.
They make everything, even the mayo, themselves.
“You come in here, you order something, it’s 100-percent fresh,
natural,” Owner Raphael Compres said. “Even our breadcrumbs
we make ourselves.” The coffee, which is so great it could
almost be dessert, stands up to anything from Starbucks.
Though they designed the kitchen so people could see their
food being made from scratch, the lunch crowd gets antsy
waiting for their orders like DeCafe’s best seller,
the Cubano Panini.
