Neighborhood Blogwatch

by Carla Zanoni

Bob’s Blog

Musings from the heights on Manhattan.

Bob’s Blog is the simple name of a simple blog. If you like photos of the area and local jaunts this is the spot for you. Bob also writes about his life as a married father of two and life in Northern Manhattan as well as his take on new media issues, the life span of cicadas and fitness regimes.

Little Miss Fussbudget

Completely random thoughts on health and beauty, celebrity, food and plain ol’life in general from a moderately fussy woman.

Little Miss Fussbudget may not live in Northern Manhattan (it’s not clear where she lives from her postings), but she does work here. And boy is Washington Heights lucky. This quirky, interesting and frequently self-effacing writer is full of funny observations and stories about her work and life. A favorite story from Washington Heights is sure to be the one about the time she helped the invalid man, his “better half” and a mad, raving, clucking hen.

A Brooklyn Bachelor

"I Celebrate Myself, and Sing Myself,/And What I Assume You Shall Assume,/For Every Atom Belonging To Me As Good Belongs To You.//I Loafe And Invite My Soul,/I Lean and Loafe At My Ease Observing A Spear of Summer Grass."

Other than posting one of the all time best poems in the title of his blog, the Brooklyn Bachelor has other good taste, like nature, poetry and an appreciation for Inwood. In a recent posting our Bachelor posted a most amazing set of some of the wildlife in Inwood and wrote prose that truly sang the body electric.
