What you do is more important than what you say To the Editor: Thank you for your recent Op-Ed column titled, “Dressing as a Republican on Halloween.” As a Republican District Leader for the Inwood/Marble Hill areas of Manhattan, I admire your strong and deliberate voice in this political arena. As Republicans, we should do whatever it takes to work toward the greater good of all our people. This includes the immigrant population who more-often-than-not are underrepresented. I have my own concerns at some of the myopic views expressed in this questionnaire and think the party would be better served by leaving a space for recipients of these types of literature, to write in a comment and/or response. The Republican party has indeed made a grave mistake in sharing some of their narrow viewpoints but I believe that its more important what either party, in control, actually does than what they say.
