Pols consider tolling bridge, but how would it work?

It can be difficult to get across the University Heights Bridge during rush hour. The 100-year-old, 264-foot span connecting W. 207th Street with the Bronx sees an estimated 2,000 vehicles cross every hour. Some state lawmakers view each one of those cars, trucks and taxis as a drop in the bucket toward shoring up the teetering Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Read More

41 alleged gang members nabbed in drug sweep

Roughly 200 law enforcement officers flooded the blocks between W. 171st and W. 174th Streets west of Broadway during the overnight hours of March 3 to 4, arresting 41 individuals on charges related to drug dealing, weapons and the alleged attack on a rival dealer in January. Read More
