FoodNYC: a blueprint for the city’s food system Print E-mail

Much like clean air or water, access to good food should not be limited to a privileged few. With this fundamental principle in mind, last month I released “FoodNYC: A Blueprint for a Sustainable Food System,” a single, comprehensive vision for food policy in our city. The report lays out concrete, achievable ways to make the city’s food system more sustainable, which, in the process, can lead to significant improvements in public health and job creation.

The Green Times offers an expanded section in our home delivery edition of the newspaper and features news and information about how the city is approaching environmental issues: food distribution, urban health, recycling, energy efficiency, transportation and the use of outdoor space.
