The YUM program will have a representative at the H&R Block office on Broadway near W. 165th Street in the coming days to talk about how to get low-cost, fresh produce.
The H&R Block office on Broadway at W. 165th Street is partnering with the YUM (Your Upper Manhattan) Food Program to help provide low-cost produce for several days this month.
Since Beverly Carter, H&R Block Tax office manager and Washington Heights native, is one of the program's biggest fans she has invited its representatives to be onsite on Fri., Feb. 4, Tue., Feb. 8, and Fri., Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bags of fresh, locally farmed produce range from $10 to $20.
The YUM program was started by seniors at Isabella Geriatric Center with help from nonprofit GrowNYC.
