The Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation (NMIC) will be hosting a job fair on Wednesday, Oct. 5th from 10 am to 3 pm at The United Palace Cathedral located at 4140 Broadway at 175th Street.
Some of the companies scheduled to attend are Columbia University, Cablevision, Avon, Promesa, The Association for Energy Affordability, and Coca Cola, to name only a few.
NMIC’s mission is to serve as a catalyst for positive change in the lives of people in the Northern Manhattan community.
Alba Silva, Senior Job Developer at NMIC, is hoping the event will attract local residents who are having difficulty finding a job during the tough economy, and that it will provide them with direct access to employers who have openings in a number of different areas of work. The fair is open to all employers and job seekers at no cost. Attendants are encouraged to bring multiple copies of resumes and dress appropriately.
For more information, please call the NMIC office at 212.822.8300 or email
