Members of Venture Crew Troop 729 hiking the Hadrian's Wall Trail across northern England.
Seventeen members of Venture Crew Troop 729 have just returned from completing the 84-mile Hadrian’s Wall Trail, a foot path that crosses northern England.
The local Boy Scout Troop that meets at the Ft. Washington Collegiate Church on Ft. Washington Avenue and W. 181st Street, spent two weeks straddling the line between England and Scotland, hiking the trail from the Irish Sea to the North Sea and the city of Newcastle. On their last day in Europe the scouts hung out at the opening day of the 63-year-old Fringe Festival, which is thought to be the world’s largest arts festival.
Each year troop heads to a new part of the world to hike and camp. Last year the scouts hiked the Juan De Fuca Marine Trail in Canada’s Pacific Northwest.
